I suspect there is a voltage or/power/clockspeed issue that needs fixing in the bios. There was thermal paste already applied to the CPU cooler and I read online that I didn't need to remove and apply my own. Now the latter seems fine, but what on earth could be causing those mega temp spikes when I am starting up my games? Then when I start playing it starts chilling between 50-65. clockspeed is between 59 mhz (little high for the 7600x?) and temps approach 100 degrees (96.4 for Package, 98.9 for CCD #0). What I've noticed is that when I'm starting up the games my CPU usage jumps to 100%, max. I've played AC Blackflag and Hogwarts Legacy to see what happens. I've used CPUID Hardware Monitor PRO to check on my temps, voltages, fan rpms, etc. PSU: Sharkoon Silent Storm Cool Zero 850W I just built a brand-new PC with the Ryzen 5 7600x.
